Loving-Kindness Meditation (also called Metta Meditation) is also a Buddhist type of meditation. By practicing this type of meditation, and cultivating Love-kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity will grow.

In this meditation, we gently mentally repeat phrases that are meaningful in terms of what we wish, first for ourselves, then expand to others. Many people find this type of meditation to be easier to calm our monkey mind at first.
